A Linesman is required when additional pipeline over standard rig is required. Typically standard rig ranges between 40m down to 18m on the larger machines.
The role of a Linesman is to:
- Assemble a pipeline on-site
- Break back the pipework as and when needed
- Clean out pipework once used
- Dissemble pipeline on-site
- Load the pipes back up onto the delivery vehicle
The role of a Linesman is not to:
- Get involved with the placement of the concrete
- Move the pipes once connected
Should you need more than 100m of additional pipe, a second Linesman will be required.

Putzmeister 20 Meter Boom
The Putzmeister’s 20m Z-fold has a compact design which allows easy maneuvering through busy, urban job sites. The versatile four-section Z-Fold boom can operate in challenging places including areas with low ceilings.
A standard swivel elbow, off the back-end with a 90-degree pivot, also allows you to use the 20Z as a Line Pump.
Another integral component is the Ergonic Output Control (EOC) which reduces fuel consumption, wear and noise.
