Ramcrete Achieves Constructionline Gold Accreditation
By Ben Legge
We’re proud to share that Ramcrete has officially achieved the Constructionline Gold accreditation, one of the most recognised marks of trust and compliance in the UK construction industry.
It’s a milestone that means a great deal to us, not because of the badge itself, but because of what it proves: that the standards we’ve always held ourselves to as a nationwide concrete pumping company are now independently verified, on record, and ready to be checked by anyone who needs to.
What Is A Constructionline Gold Accreditation?
If you’re not knee-deep in pre-qualification paperwork day to day, here’s the short version.
Constructionline Gold is one of the UK construction industry’s leading accreditation schemes. It confirms that a business meets the Common Assessment Standard (CAS), the sector’s preferred pre-qualification framework, developed in partnership with Build UK to replace the older PAS 91 questionnaire.
In simple terms, it means a business has been independently assessed against a single, standardised set of criteria, rather than asked to prove itself from scratch to every contractor it works with. For main contractors and public sector buyers, that standardisation is exactly the point: one verified assessment, recognised across the industry, instead of dozens of different versions of the same PQQ paperwork.
What Does the Common Assessment Standard Actually Cover?
The Common Assessment Standard goes well beyond a simple health and safety tick-box. To achieve Gold-level accreditation, a business must demonstrate it meets rigorous, independently verified requirements across areas which include:
- Health and safety management, including policies, training records, and site practices
- Environmental management, covering sustainability commitments and environmental impact
- Quality assurance, including how work is delivered, monitored, and improved
- Equal opportunities and diversity, ensuring fair and compliant employment practices
- Modern Slavery Act compliance, confirming ethical labour practices throughout the supply chain
- Anti-bribery and corruption policies, demonstrating sound governance
In short, it’s a proper, independently assessed stamp of approval, not a tick-box exercise, and one that’s increasingly specified by main contractors and public sector buyers on tenders across the UK.
What This Means for Main Contractors and Public Sector Buyers
For anyone responsible for managing a construction supply chain, this accreditation translates into something genuinely practical.
Faster onboarding. Main contractors and public buyers can verify our compliance instantly through the Constructionline platform, rather than working through a lengthy pre-qualification process from scratch before we can even get on site and become pumping ready.
Less paperwork. Because our health, safety, and operational standards are already verified, there’s no need to repeat what’s already been proven. That’s less admin for your team, fewer documents chasing around inboxes, and less back-and-forth before work can begin.
Built-in risk management. Constructionline Gold membership is increasingly the standard main contractors look for when assessing subcontractor risk, governance, and compliance across a project’s supply chain. Working with an accredited supplier reduces that burden on your side.
Real, verifiable assurance. Ultimately, Gold accreditation is a way of saying: Ramcrete is a verified and trusted supplier. Whoever brings us onto a project, whether that’s a main contractor managing a complex supply chain or a public sector buyer with strict procurement requirements, they can be confident that we meet the standards they’re required to uphold, without having to just take our word for it.
Built on Solid Foundations
This accreditation doesn’t stand alone. It sits alongside the awards and accreditations we’ve built up over 35+ years in the concrete pumping industry, growing from a single truck and a family-run outfit in Berkshire into the UK’s largest independently-owned concrete pump specialists, with depots covering the whole country and a team that’s been recognised time and again for the work they do – from industry awards through to long-standing accreditations like our FORS Silver status and Construction Plant Association membership, not to mention the longevity of our loyal staff.
Gold accreditation isn’t a substitute for that track record. It’s confirmation of it, and another reason main contractors across the UK choose to work with us on everything from city-centre high-rises to nationwide infrastructure projects. Take a look at some of that work in our case studies.
“Achieving Constructionline Gold is something the whole team can be proud of. It reflects the standards we hold ourselves to on every single site, and it makes life easier for the contractors and buyers who work with us, because the verification is already done. That’s exactly the kind of reliability we want to be known for.”

Related Questions
Is Ramcrete accredited for public sector and main contractor projects? Yes. Alongside our Constructionline Gold accreditation, Ramcrete holds a range of industry accreditations and has supplied concrete pumping services for main contractors and public sector projects across the UK.
How often does Constructionline Gold accreditation need to be renewed? It’s not a “pass once and forget it” badge. The Common Assessment Standard is reviewed annually, so businesses have to keep their compliance up to date and be reassessed each year to retain Gold status. It’s an ongoing commitment, not a one-time tick.
What’s the difference between Constructionline Silver and Gold? Silver membership covers the foundational pre-qualification checks, things like basic insurance, legal status, and core compliance. Gold builds on top of that with the full Common Assessment Standard, covering deeper checks across health and safety, environmental management, equal opportunities, and governance. A business has to hold Silver before it can apply for Gold.
Will this accreditation affect Ramcrete’s pricing or service? No. Gold accreditation formalises and verifies standards we already work to, it doesn’t add cost, change our process, or affect turnaround times. For our existing clients, nothing changes day-to-day. For new contractors and buyers, it just means there’s now a faster, independently verified way to confirm we meet their requirements.
How can I verify Ramcrete’s Constructionline Gold status? Our Gold status is visible directly on the Constructionline platform and Marketplace, searchable by any registered buyer. We’re also happy to send our certificate directly on request, just get in touch.
