Hackney Bumps Skatepark

Supporting Betongpark on the redevelopment of a historic East London Skatepark

Ramcrete recently supported one of Europe’s industry leaders in skatepark design and construction on the redevelopment of Hackney Bumps, an outdoor concrete skatepark in Clapton, East London.

Originally built in 1986, Hackney Bumps is one of London’s oldest skateparks, known for its distinctive rolling moguls. Over time, the surface had deteriorated, becoming cracked and uneven, limiting its use.

The redevelopment, led by Betongpark in collaboration with the local community, focused on restoring and enhancing the space. New ramps and improved concrete finishes were introduced to bring the park back into regular use.

Throughout the project, Ramcrete provided concrete pumping support, supplying equipment suited to the varying pour requirements. This included the use of a Trailer Pump and 36 Metre Boom Concrete Pump, enabling efficient and controlled placement across different sections of the park.

In total, approximately 15m³ of concrete was placed over the course of 2 weeks, supporting the transformation of the site.

Ramcrete has been working with Betongpark on sole supplier basis for the last 2 years. We’re proud to have supported them on this redevelopment and look forward to working together on future projects.
